Hi Almot,
I think I can run just the air on 1250 watts. I am relying on living in desert like conditions where it does get down to 18 c (64 f) at night.
The $5 per day represents 20 kwh at Saskpower's not inconsiderable rates.
I want to shift the primary source of power from shore to solar. I want to assist the solar with the alternator. Since I have the generator, I can run that if need be.
My roof air does cycle when I'm driving down the road, so I will arrive at any camping location with the living quarters already cooled off.
One reason for choosing the boost inverter was to allow me to run the generator in eco mode for now. I'll have much more data by the end of summer about how much I truly use.
