Well I've thought about it and I don't want to be concerned. :R In terms of just height what is the difference between 1" off the roof and 6" when the panel is parallel to the roof? Mine is essentially parallel for fore/aft wind flow. Left to right flow does mean more lift.

The panels seem very solid and hopefully I haven't under supported them. The rig has not moved yet and I will take it very easy initially with periodic checking. I have taken pictures and talked to other owners with raised panels so I'm confident.
