Not enough to worry about - the buck conversion stage should be a nothing more than a minor concern when worrying about efficiency
Hope you left room for the RS232 cable to the MPPT 60 - to upgrade software you need a serial connection it will not work with the Ethernet alone
How often does Morningstar updated the firmware on average?
Seen them supply updates twice a year - then again not for two years
The Ethernet interface does not support the MSLOAD application which is needed to update firmware.
How about those Voltage Sense and Battery Temp lines?
Take full advantage of that wonderful controller
I added a small TPLINK Wireless N Router to the Ethernet connection - makes life a lot easier IPAD IPhone etc wireless connections
