And maybe just leave the existing roof mounts where they are, to avoid any potential leaks from removal and patching.

My plan is to leave the current mounts and use the additional 4 more holes that are 5 1/2 inches from the ends. I'm investigating exactly where the roof supports are located. They are some alloy with 4' centers but I have very limited visibility on the exact location as I want to span the supports.
