Another option for you, if on a budget.
1-do the solar.
2-charge from the truck alternator if/when the sun lets you down. I am assuming that with a TC you don't have a huge battery bank and that you do have a pretty good size alternator. You will need an upgraded charging wire but that's a lot cheaper than a gen for occasional use.
