If you can afford it go for the best of both worlds.
SOLAR for sunny days that are sunny but cool enough you can use fans (or the furnace) and Portable Power (Most folks say 2,000 is not quite enough) for when you need the chiller (Air COnditioenr)
If you go with the Honda EU-2000i start with a companion model No 12 volt but it does have a 30 amp outlet.. The standard one does not (And the 12 volt terminals are kind of .. Not worth the effort).
Some of the new Yahnams's can also be paralleled.. DO NOT know about the one you mentioned. will research later this internet pass since if I ever get a portable I"m looking more toward Yamaha than Honda.. (My needs in a portable are 1,000, and I mean a TRUE 1000, watts.. If I need A/C, I have 5500 watts of Onan)
