If you are full timing in the States, why be anywhere you need air conditioning? You can move with the seasons. Now you can do it all on inverter with a smaller generator and some solar for battery charging
I agree that sounds good, but it was 30 degrees with 2 inches of ice last week and 90 degrees (with heat index) yesterday.
Sounds like you need a good propane heater.
Now, a propane heater runs on propane - mostly, plus some 12V. A good heater will take VERY little 12V power, few AH overnight. The best and most expensive catalytic heater will cost well under $1000, and a cheap one you can get for $300. I don't see how this necessitates a generator - any midsize solar will handle it. For 90F days you need proper 12V fans. For 3-4 days you will hardly need any power source for this, as has been said may times. We are going in circles here...
Edit:
If you can carry 4* GC batts, then upgrading the heater is optional And so is getting a generator for heating. A regular furnace at 50% cycle will draw 80-90 AH in 3 nights. You can afford 90 AH with 450 AH bank.
Airconditioner - if 90F all day long and there is no shade - will require a generator. And it will be running all day long. One odd day with a cool evening you could survive with fans, but if this is often - then a generator.
