Solar may be even more of a benefit than just charging your batteries. Once my battery hits float early on, the panel picks up the loads thru out the day. I can turn on every light, fan and even the furnace and the controller will up the output to 11a but the battery never drops in voltage. At the end of the day the battery is as charged as possible and we are only really on it over night. In the morning the 95 ah grp 27 reads 12.57v before the system wakes up and starts charging/ covering our loads again.
We use to run the generator for 2 hours a day and the daily drop was to 12.4 each morning. Now we don't run it at all. :)
