By the way, what control temperature the panel(s) are at is not important to me ... only that you control whatever temperature you choose so it's the same for each leg of the test. It's comparing system output of 12V to 24V with each of the controller technologies at each of those voltages - with all other variables kept the same - that has a lot of value. Wire size is not even important for the voltage to controller comparisons... so long as it's the same for all legs. Wire size being fat only becomes necessary when actually putting together a fully optimized system using whatever panel/controller combination is ultimately chosen based on your test results.
