I have a 230 watt poly and a 220 watt mono and for a 10w difference, they are very different.
The poly is larger, produces usable power in lower light and 25% more in full sun. The mono seems more tolerant to limited shading than the poly. I can stick my hand in front of it with little effect, the poly will drop power if I do the same.
Since they act differently in sun/shade I can't combine them. That would confuse a MPPT controller too much. Each will be it's own system that can be used on separate banks or combine one one if it needs the 30a both will put out. I'll have $400 total into both systems when I'm done.
