Solar panels for less than ideal conditions - bypass diodes?

I plan on running them parallel. Maybe 300 watts to start - 3 X 100 watt panels probably - with room to expand if needed. The objective is to reduce generator run time, not necessarily be totally reliant on solar.

I plan on using a Trimetric SC2030 controller, to pair with my recently-installed Trimetric monitor.

Are there panels with greater number of diodes, where I could lose less than an entire row of cells? Or, are they all configured with 3 diodes between 4 rows?
