When/if your batts are full or not pulling all the amps the controller can supply at the time, any 12v will pull from the solar first (least resistance)
The accepted practice is to have very minimum loads on the chassis battery. If you run both banks down because they are parallel connected then no startie...:(
There are however various devices that keep the chassis battery charged when excess power is available from the charger or solar. BIRD, Trik-L-Start, etc.
