You're right, they don't design RV with offgrid camping in mind. Poor insulation is very common. 4 nights on 6*6V - it must be really cold where you are. Or something else is draining your batteries. If your fridge is all-electric, this would explain it. I've been using catalytic heater lately, mostly because with on-off cycling of furnace it's difficult to get a good sleep.
