However, I did have some signs that were held on by vhb tape. In 2016 in March I got caught in a blizzard at Grand Forks, ND. The wind went up and the temperatures plummeted. (you can say -40, yes?) The #2 highway west was closed.
The laminated plastic signs peeled away from the tape. They had full perimeter tape and were 2' x 3' in a vertical orientation on the RV. They had been put on in Florida and had been in place for a month. I had driven over 1000 miles at highway speeds with no issues. I had the nose of my class C pointed into the wind. There were 3 signs--passengers side, driver's side, and rear. The rear was the last to go. I was pretty frightened to be in such a bad storm.
I am guessing the failure was due to the extreme cold.
