I don't think so. Series affords you less line loss, but for all practical purposes I think it's a wash for you, except for wire size. Series becomes more desirable as your total panel wattage increases along with the wire distance. I used to run 360w at 12v in parallel with #10 wire, and the connectors would get hot.
