Solar question. Two panels same 24v , Series/parallel math

OK. So I have these panels. 280 watt LG,s I currently use one with an ecoworth 20 amp mppt. Max volts is 50 volts for controller hence one panel.. I can get 17 amps or so out of it normally... T...

agreed. My experience is this is the case. HOWEVER, my experience also is that this is best choice IF I don't need to worry about any shading, for any noticeable time.

If I'm in a location with noticeable shading during the day, then parallel seems to win out.
