The OP's situation reminds me of mine last year. I have an Eco-W MPPT 20 amper for my 255w panel and also have a Solar30 PWM for my 12v panels. (three 100w) I wanted to try my 12v panels in series, not having done that before. So I got the Tracer 2210A MPPT 20 amper and used that with the three 100s. (Ground based portable for all set-ups-no fat vs thin wiring issue using fat for all)
Result- it was a wash between series and parallel so I wasted my money getting the Tracer for its higher Voc limit. I believe the loss in controller efficiency in series doing 24-12 negated any advantage over the 12-12 in parallel.
I got just as many amps to the battery and daily AH haul using the Solar 30 PWM with the three 100s as I did with the Tracer or Eco-W.
Of course I do need an MPPT controller for my 255w panel to do the 24-12.
