Solar question. Two panels same 24v , Series/parallel math

OK. So I have these panels. 280 watt LG,s I currently use one with an ecoworth 20 amp mppt. Max volts is 50 volts for controller hence one panel.. I can get 17 amps or so out of it normally... T...

If you are starting small (several hundred Watts) and intend to expand in the future, go parallel

If this is a one time Max power never buy anymore panels then figure out the optimum series arrangement

Parallel is easier and cheaper to reconfigure than a series arrangement, should you decide to expand the system
