This is not a RV application but there seems to be a lot of solar knowledge on here so I thought I would ask. I run a 12V system in my remote cabin for LED lights and RV size water pump and CD play...
The batteries should be stored outside the cabin in a very well ventilated enclosure, and the generator can also be stored in a similar manner, next to them, in a very well ventilated enclosure, insulated with sound attenuation fire blanket (roxul safe and sound will do) for sound. And the generator should not be left unattended to just run out of gas after 8 hours. There is no need for this. With a little planning, the batteries can be at TRUE FULL charge before the OP leaves the cabin.
