This is not a RV application but there seems to be a lot of solar knowledge on here so I thought I would ask. I run a 12V system in my remote cabin for LED lights and RV size water pump and CD play...

Good point about AGM. With long intervals between the uses of the cabin a slow self-discharge of AGM comes very handy.
I agree that there is no crystal clear best solution here. The very situation is very unclear. "Deep shade"... how "deep"? And so on. My semi-educated gut feeling would be that in more-less permanent leafy shade the OP would need at least 500W high-voltage solar and MPPT, to be able to put his 20 (30?) AH into battery by the evening, and this is on a sunny day. It is very likely that with 500W he will still have to run a generator for 30-60 minutes on some days, before letting solar to finish the charging.
