For moving often (like we usually do) - isn't that when solar is least needed? We have enough battery capacity and an engine alternator to take carry of the batteries for this type of hit and run camping.
For drycamping many days in a row in the shade - isn't that when you pull out the portable solar panels and place them out aways in the sun to keep the batteries up?
(Also, apparently all the roof install fans don't worry about leaks from the panel bracket screws combined with not being able to get to the bracket areas conveniently for periodic re-chaulking.)
