You have to look at camping vs storage floating for what you want.
Camping, I like to do absorption at 14.8 while amps taper so I get more amps and so more AH in that time left before dark. Not likely to get to "full" most days except in mid-summer here.
Once it gets dark voltage drops anyway plus there are all the draws using the rig bringing voltage down. By morning, voltage is 12.x and you start over.
It may be different if you can get to Vabs before lunch while camping so that leaves a longer time before dark.
My last controller, a LandStar 20 amper (RIP--my fault) was profiled to get to 14.6, stayed there for two hours and then dropped to 13.8 float till dark. That was pretty good most days.
I don't do set and forget solar, so don't need to find a perfect compromise. As conditions change from April to October, I keep fiddling with the set-up. It is never just right due to the weatherman not being able to ever make his mind up :)
BTW I now think I can do a backyard test on what the Solar30 does after reaching 14.8, but have to wait for a sunny day.
