Second, when OP said "battery lugs", I was thinking 4/0, not 1/0, and using
terminal solder slugs.
Finally, on the Solder vs Crimp debate, I'm deferring to
Jack Meyer who thinks crimping is best for high-amperage wire (#6 and greater).
