Yes, on further reflection I've ordered a AIMS 1200 watt inverter that has a transfer switch built in, plus it has an optional remote (also ordered).
As a bonus it is pure sine wave. About $200 all in. The ATS was $80 alone!
This way I can ditch the external ATS and the solenoid.
I can return the ATS but anybody want to buy a solenoid?
