Solution to Onan 5.5 Gen throwing a Code 3

Earlier I post about my Onan stopping and refusing to restart.

HERE is my original post and the second post on page two is what I discovered.

I now believe I know the problem but at 77, I don't want to pull the Onan and install new parts so when we get back the end of the month, I'll take it to a Onan or generator shop for final resolution.

Thanks to everyone, there were a lot of clues and suggestions and all put together, I am sure I found the problem.
