I do not remember what cylinder to time from the bottom for sure. I think it is #5. I doubt that is your problem.

See post a moment ago from 3:58. I gave up and went for the upper gauge. I'm ASSuming it's designed for #1. In fact, I'm pretty sure I checked the timing when I bought her 9 years ago and am also pretty sure I used the upper one. I don't recall even knowing about the lower gauge back then.

Interested in your opinion.
