You have me convinced. And while researching my problem, I ran across others who concur with your opinion of some of today's remans. I promise not to go cheap on the distributor, grandpa.
And FWIW, the distributor spins like a top! Pins are in place. No noticeable wear on the gear either.
Sooo............... yerrr telllling meee thaaat it's NOT the chain?
Or are you telling me that 105K is high mileage for a 1986 Delco distributor anyway and I should replace it per the scientific method and eliminate it as the culprit?
