Yes. All I did, initially, was to adjust the distributor and she fired right up... and seemed to run as she always did... for several days of short hauls and then several hours of long haul before things got ugly.
I had thought a single tooth skip may not cause such havoc as I had heard of hot rodders advancing cam timing on purpose.
Sounds like I was mistaken.
So...
with the distributor showing zero physical signs of issue and rotating by hand beautifully..... what the heck happened???
