2652 is a 6 cu ft fridge, 2852 is an 8 cu ft. So your particular fridge has the switch but perhaps it's failed and is not disconnecting power to the heating element. Cut the heavier red wire that runs to the interior light switch ... if power draw drops then you'll know for sure.
