Sorry to come off rude, you are right that it can't be 10 amps from the fridge but when I disconnected the two cables that power the fridge, bam, down to an amp. So I guess it must be something on the cables before there. A short or something, I'm no electrician.
The thing is that I had the same thing happen about two years ago, except there was also a 12v plug also wierd through together with the fridgs. I disconnected it and, bam, back to normal, till now.
Again sorry for coming off brash but I'm in the middle of the Yucon and I had at least four people tell me to check the temperature/climate control when I put in my first post that I don't use it. We don't really use campgrounds while traveling the half the year is off work, the other half we do though. We'll be traveling till September sometime. I need my fridge....
I just bought a clamp meter so I don't have to try to hold the wires to the meter. Now I've just got to figure out how to use it. I also got a line chaser, not sure how well that'll work but it seems like there might be something wrong with one of the two cables somewhere...
