Splicing AWG 6 to AWG 12?
I figured out that by running AWG 6 right from the panel, instead of existing AWG 12, the power losses will be cut in half. Only don't know what is the best way to splice #12 to #6 without junction b...

That's just crutchfield...those are high end blocks. There are lesser options.
And if on the cheap, there are simple crimp connectors that go step down large gauge wire to small. I just could not find an example quickly to buy online. But they exist, I have used them personally. They are called "step down connectors".
