The solar cell on the roof is a gimmick that just is supposed to trickle charge the starting battery, not the house batteries. Is only 15 watts anyway which is nothing. Check tha batteries to make sure they do not need water.
EDIT: Check to see if you have a Todd Engineering converter. If so, and there is a jumper plugged into the end (looks like a phone jack), then unplug that jumper. It forces the converter to output 14.4V continuously which will cook the house batteries.
