Doug may have the best method but whether or not a manufacturer want's to pay for it would be the question.
OTOH, Thousands of repairs have been made with Eternabond tape not only on RV's but even more so on flat commercial roofing and these repair even have to live underwater much of their live but still outlast the roof.
