Staples on Roof Poking Membrane

Why destroy the integrity of the roof membrane? Just use a strip of eternabond OVER the line of staples. No sense opening up the roof. The Eternabond will prevent the staples from going thru the EPDM roof. And if it possibly does, the Eternabond will then be the seal to prevent leaks. The staples have NO "force" pushing them up. they are just loose and the flex of the roof wood moves them up and down. Doug
