The problem is that the highest stress point on the striker bolt is also the weakest point on the bolt.. I do the repair two ways.
ONE: a specially carved steel bolt (A Machienist makes 'em for me)
Or I machine a slot in the back of the existing bolt and use a mending bar that fits in teh slot and screws and adheasive, Not one failure yet doign it this way.
