Are you cold and don't want to be. Turn up the temp. Are you warm and wish to be cooler. Turn the temp down. Forget the numbers. As an installer of electric baseboard heat the thermos usually had "warm--Warmer. No degrees. Occasionally we would come across a thermo with numbers and people would want that setting to match a thermometer they had next to it. Forget the numbers and be comfortable.
