Storm Energy Inverter/Generator

Hi, does anyone have any feedback of this generator. Looks good for a "B" RV. Electric start and less than $900.00.

  • The reason I mentioned it is because with 2600 useable watts (2800 max) you wouldn't need to parallel with another. I don't like the idea of paralleling generators when one size larger will probably do the job. I'm not sure that any "B" has a larger than 13,500 BTU A/C and the 2600 watt would power it I think.
    25 x 14.5 x 25 inch is not much larger than the Honda eu2000i.

  • I've hunted around the Lifan web site for references to connecting more than 2 generators in parallel and was unsuccessful. If this was a real feature, I would think it would be mentioned somewhere.
  • If you get one be sure to post how it works for you. I have a Lifan motorcycle that has been fantastic but have no experience with their generators.
  • Should it prove reliable, it looks like it would be close to the same league as the Champion 3100i which is a few hundred watts more powerful but doesn't have electric start or the ability to be combined.

It's great to see the options in inverter generators are growing.
  • It looks interesting. From the Amazon description (Bold added by me):

Parallel cord jack on the unit and parallel cord ready to couple 2 or more units together for added power capability using parallel coupling unit model ESPPC (sold separately)

The ESPPC works with any combination of Lifan's 1000W, 2200W or 2800W Inverters
  • Nice looking unit with handle and wheels for easy handling.
In searching for info on it I can't determine if it can be coupled to another similar unit to double the watts.
