Strange Problem!!!

I am asking for help again for a strange problem. We own a 2003 40 foot
Monaco Executive with three slides. The other day we had snow, so we put the slides in. The next morning I put out one slide, and turned on the faucet, to make sure the water flowed freely. No water--water pump not working. Went to put out second slide--not working. The backup camera didn't work, the TV (which retracts into the ceiling when not in use) would not open up, and the gauges to show water level in the tanks--none of these worked. Checked the circuit breakers--all ok. Unplugged the 50 amp shore power and lights work fine, still have initial problem. Reset all breakers and everything works. Checked water pump and initial problem recurred. Reset breakers and problem still there, unplugged shore power and problem SOLVED. Elected NOT to try water pump again!!! Anyone know what the water pump has to do with the slides, backup camera ect.

Please help. The wife
  • If you are connected to shore power when you check the batteries on the display panel then the batteries will just about always show fully charged. disconnect shore power and then check batteries.
  • I will check the batteries but they were all checked two weeks ago. They read good on the display panel in the RV. I thought that also, but when I disconnect shore power the house batteries are doing the lights ETC.
  • when was the last time you washed off the tops of your batteries, If they are dirty wash them off with hot water do not use baking soda. also take of the cables and clean them and check the charge in the batteries
  • The common thread seems to be the 12 volt battery power system.
Loose or dirty connections can cause these problems.
  • Everything you mentioned runs on 12VDC. Circuit breakers are a 120VAC specific part. Start with a volt meter at your battery.
