Use them all the time to fill stripped holes in cabinets, door hinges etc.
Toothpicks in small holes and wooden dowels in large holes.
Coated with glue of your choice. Let dry. Re-install screw.
Pilot hole in dowels.
And use a hand screw driver......not a power one or you'll be redoing it again.
