Strongest hard mount ladder

I searched and found a lot of discussions w/r to integrated rear ladders vs. collapsible ones and such. All good info that was helpful to read through. I'm limited on space though and have solid mount points and blueprints (from Northwood) to mount a fixed rear ladder.

So there seems to be 3 brands:

Stromberg Carlson.
Surco.
Topline.

Barring any first hand experience, their pictures on the web look suspiciously similar. Like they are really some Chinese junk just re-branded. Since I have no way to see them in person, I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience comparing between different brands? Especially anyone who's seen more than 1 to compare.

I'm leaning towards the Stromberg Carlson, but not by a lot. Again they seem so similar, and none of them are especially expensive.

  • Not a bad idea Scott, but I wasn't able to find much.
I opted to just get one of those werner/little giant style ladders, and I think I'll just mount some standoffs to the ladder hardpoints of my trailer and strap it to those to carry around.
  • You could even check out marine stores. Their tubular parts are stainless steel rather than aluminum and are very strong.
