Suburban furnace electrode question

So i followed the instruction from one of the video and used a 1/8 drill bit to test spacing and it was snug, but not too tight. I only have two pieces to my electrode, one mounted to the metal plate (guessing ground) and one which has the porcelain surrounding it. I think I have access to the control board, but will have to look. I will try the u plugging at the control board. I contacted the only dealer who would pick up the phone on a Sunday and he said definitely replace the electrode. So hopefully it is in stock somewhere some the weather in Northern NY is still below 40. Thank you for the help!!
