Is there another word for snap disk? Never heard of that before.
technically it's called a "thermal overload" it is a bimetal disk that opens a circuit when temperature is above its set point. It is usually silver and about the size of a quarter with two wires coming out of it, should be in the discharge air stream, if its the high limit.
