suburban water heater sw6de valve

I have a trip coming up soon and the valve is leaking propane. I always run it on electric. Is there any reason I couldn't remove the valve for now and cap the line till I can buy a new valve and still run it on electric or it going to look for that valve to be there? Thanks Michael

  • Don't even need to remove....just disconnect gas line and cap it off.

Separate controls for electric and gas (110V AC and 12V DC).
