It's likely you can turn off the charger on ALL IC's.
depends on which comment / links you look at (that i provided).
After reading the manuals (on-line) yesterday i discovered that the charger in the ProSine 2.0 can be disabled with the included remote and it also includes a built in transfer switch for pass-thru.
The Pro XM also includes a built in transfer switch for pass thru and it does not have a charger.
