Lowes and Home Depot sell pet resistant screening, it's pretty stout stuff. You cold also try a plexiglass sheet and small self tapping screws on the bottom of the screen door. The Plexiglass can probably be the the thinnest and cheapest they sell at the same home improvement stores above.
