I replaced my cable style black water dump valve by using one of the bolts pressed against one side of the valve while the other end went through the bolt opening on the other half. I used a nut to force the two halves apart and hold them apart while I wiggled the new valve with new seals into place. I had to put the valve in an angle to clear the bolt. I then loosened the nut until the two halves closed in on the seals, removed the bolt and nut then rotated the valve into place. This was not an easy fix. Hopefully, someone has an easier way.
