If you want to get fancy, a PI surge protector brick then a PI EMS permanently installed. It won't stop a direct lightning strike, but a big surge will fry the surge protector, leaving the EMS still protecting the rig. Plus, if you encounter undervoltage, it will shut power off, as too low a voltage can be very damaging to compressors.
As an added bonus, if someone steals your surge protector brick (unlikely, but it does happen), you are still protected.
