surge protector
Will a surge protector help with low voltage like a plug in voltmeter?Will they both work basically the same?

The unit you are looking at is an EMS (energy management System)and is better than a surge protector. The only thing I don't like is the 1 year warranty.
Progressive Industries has a life time warranty. I have the PI EMS 50 amp portable unit and it has saved us several time when voltage dropped from 120 to 104 they to 76 volts for about 3 hours. We were lucky, voltage droped just as we shut the lights off to goto bed. Proper power was restrored by power company 3 hour later.
Second here we had the PI unit it died, called PI, they sail send it in. unit was repaired at no charge. they said it had water damage due to a bad seal. Mow over five years and not a problem with it. Sure glad I had the lifetime warranty.
