- AllegroDNomadA surge protector will not. A Surge Guard Power Protector and better yet a Progressives Industries Power Protector will. So it depends on what you are calling a surge protector.
A volt meter reads volts/amps/ohms/watts, depending on which one you get and can be 120 and/or 12 volt. - joe0508Explorer
