Surge protector?
Is this really needed? We have new Winnebago A sightseer. I can see its purpose,but how often is this an issue? Does hot temps affect power or just poor power availability? And, if needed, what ty...

If you have 30a service on your trailer, and you sometimes use 50a with a dogbone, then get a 50a portable.
Or, if you prefer a permanently wired version, then get the 30a and keep your 50a dogbone handy. Will still work fine that way.
based on somebody's suggestion here, I built a 50 amp to dual 30 amp outlets adapter and can choose the side that has the best current/voltage.
